One Tree Hill Podcast: "The Last Day of Our Acquaintance"

Listen Now

Whimper. Snivel. SOB! Yep, this was one hell of a tear-jerking episode of One Tree Hill, and some of us are still recovering. (Others of us -- ahem, Darcel -- have no soul.) Mama James meets her maker -- and her hot 80s-heartthrob husbsnd -- and no one survives unscathed. Also, Brooke and Julian do the Brooke and Julian thing, which gets a little old but at least there's some resolution to the whole thing. Also, she clocks Alex, so that works for us!If only Victoria had kept with the slapping and didn't get with the kissing with Boy Alex. She can do so much better! Also, Mouth and Lauren ... you know what? We really don't care.

Ok, I totally cried my eyes out during Taylor and Mama James' talk. That part got me more than any other.

I completely agree with you two about the Jamie thing, for once he didn't bug me because he was actually acting his age.

I'm really sick of this need for a crazy stalker-ish character on this show. Ever since psycho Derick in season 4, they've had to have this crazy person causing tons of stress and problems for at least one character.

I was pissed about the Alexander, Victoria thing just becuase it's gross. And the whole *slap* pause *kiss* thing was cheesy and just a dumb thing to do. I don't care about either of their love lives really so I wish we weren't wasting time on it. Especially with all these secondary charactors like Alexander, they're getting more screen time than the actual origional charactors who people actually care about.

I love this show, have ever since the pilot episode. But it's just dropped so far off of what it used to be and it's no where near as good as it was, so I really think they need to end it here instead of making it continue to spiral down. I watch seasons 1-4 to remind me why I love this show so much, and I wish they'd stop lowering the standards so much and just put it out of it's misery. Or if they are doing another season, get rid of ALL the secondary characters, and have the main ones actually interact with each other like they used to instead of just dealing with the pointless storylines of the boring characters.

Great podcast as usual!

Agreed that Taylor confession was pretty special. Hate tennis player stalker storyline - it was done much better with Psycho Derek. And I have a question - did Haley have more than two siblings, because in Season 2 she says she's the youngest of brothers and sisters? I'm OK if these are the last four episodes ever. In hindsight, the last one of Season 6 should've been the closer - I just feel Mark's run out of material.
