One Tree Hill: A Wedding Episode with No Casualties...Well, Almost

Mr. and Mrs. Scott
There's nothing quite like a last-minute shotgun wedding to bring the gang together in One Tree Hill. But really, there's nothing last-minute about Lucas and Peyton. This thing has been coming for years.

The big day, however, did get thrown together quickly. How quickly? Apparently the wedding will take place without any parental units in attendance. Karen's "stuck" in a resort in Grenada and Larry's on a dredging boat off the coast of Iceland. That's what they get for not sending out "save the date" cards, we say.

Everyone is excited about the impending nuptials -- but not so much for the bride and the groom. Lucas and Peyton getting hitched is really just a formality at this point. Everyone is excited about the potential for slutty wedding sex.

When the minister bails at the last minute, Lucas gets Haley ordained real quick-like on the Internet and voila, Haley James Scott will officiate.

Hearing that there will be nuptials, Skills preps little Jamie for potential disaster by putting him on a retractable dog leash (recalling Lucas' last wedding when psycho nanny snatched the boy) and arming the child with a walkie-talkie so they can be in constant contact. Their code names: Macaulay (as in Culkin) and Denzel (as in Washington).

Elsewhere, as Brooke and Peyton share a pre-wedding tender moment, Peyton kills the buzz and tells her BFF that if anything should happen to her she wants Brooke to take care of Lucas and the kid. She doesn't want Lucas or baby to be alone...or Brooke, for that matter. Brooke agrees but refuses to let Peyton talk gloom and doom on her wedding day.

Later, on the other side of the tent, Brooke surprises Lucas with a sweet Hugo Boss tux for the wedding and Lucas surprises Brooke with Julian. Too bad Julian brings Missy, as in Missy-Me, the onscreen Brooke, as his date. Note to Lucas: Worst. Surprise. Ever!

Nathan returns to Tree Hill for the wedding and can't help but be bummed. The Clippers called up Nino instead of him. Apparently they wanted more scoring. We saw that one coming. Nathan fed him the ball and taught him all he knows. Guess there is an I in TEAM. We can’t help but feel sad for the guy. The Chiefs have never sent two guys to the pros in the same year. He tells Haley that he's getting tired of failing. But Haley reminds her hubby that he is a hero to his son --and to her -- and that should be enough.

When it comes down to wedding time the actual ceremony starts off rough. Haley opts for the non-note route, which doesn't go so well, especially when she starts quoting lyrics from Poison. But she pulls it together for a really beautiful, touching service. And there wasn't a dry eye in the house when the couple said their vows. Peyton vowed to adore Lucas for a long, long time.

Brooke is nothing if not resourceful. After the wedding she heads over to the recording studio, picks up one sexy hot Nick Lachey, and brings him back to the reception as her date...and to make Julian jealous. That obviously does the trick because Julian starts bustin' out the 98 Degrees jokes and Nick clocks him. Later, while icing his wound, Julian admits to Peyton that he misses Brooke. He has some way of showing it.

After the wedding, seeing the lights on in Brooke's shop, Julian goes in. Instead of Brooke, Victoria is there. She immediately gets snippy with him but he comes back at her with a vengeance. He explains that he feels like he's known her all his life -- his father always made him feel like he wasn't good enough and Victoria does the same thing to Brooke. He tells Victoria that he loves her daughter and one day she will love him back, and when she does, Victoria will have to learn to be nice to her or she won't be in Brooke's life. Was it respect we saw in Victoria's eyes when he walked out the door? If only Brooke could have heard that whole exchange.

And at the end of the day, it's the scene we feared would come -- Lucas brings Peyton home to their rose-covered abode. It's filled with candles and so incredibly romantic. He goes out to the garage to prep the Comet for her final surprise and the capper to their perfect day (couldn't she have gone WITH him into the garage?). When he returns to the house he finds his bride on the floor, unconscious and bleeding.

did someone say leyton moved away from tree hill?
good,dt means we'l be seeing less of dem dis season i hope, cos der romance was too long and it started gettin boring.

No, Peyton's middle name has always been Elizabeth. She just told Haley in seaosn 3 that Brooke called her Peyton Marie Sawyer when she was acting bitchy because then her initials would be PMS. They never said that was her middle name.

Will there be a season 7 of Tree Hill???

Just wanna say one thing. Lucas says Peyton Elizabeth Sawyer when in season 1 they say her middle name in Marie because they spell out PMS. This is the second mistake OTH has made. In season 4 Peyton says she can't whistle, yet in season 1, she whistles loud and clear. Just a little thing I had to point out.

Loved moments of this episode, all the naley stuff was brilliant and was about time as it had felt like mark was forcing leyton down our throats when i for one only care about naley, i also loved the julian speech, brooke needs someone who will be there for her and fight for her,

maybe its cuz im not a crazy leyton fan but i didnt feel the connection, it seemed more of a commedy episode minus the last scene

cant wait for the final episode and roll on season 7 with the additional characters, its only gunna make the show fresher and more fun

When I was watching, I was a little disappointed as the minutes ticked by because I was sure that Rachel and Whitey or Karen and Larry were going to show up. However, I loved the wedding scene. It was funny; made me laugh instead of cry. I was expecting Peyton to say Lucas and Peyton True Love Always in her vows. I was also expecting them to show more characters crying. Haley reciting the Poison lyrics and saying Peyton was a "Bitch" was funny. Although, she made it sound as though it were only Lucas' dream. But I loved the prediction box. Nathan's whole "whatever I said before Lindsay's wedding, let's go with that" thing was funny along with the fact that Lucas told him he sucked. Peyton scolding Haley for the Poison lyrics, Haley stopping in the middle of the wedding and yelling at Skills, Skills calling out "Macauley" and telling Jamie to get his ass back in the seat were all great moments. The thing I was most disappointed about was the fact that there weren't any speeches at the reception (from Brooke, Nathan, or Haley). I guess Haley had already given hers to suffice; but the other two? I think Peyton and the baby will be okay. I can't wait to find out what reason Mark Schwann is giving Leyton for taking the baby and leaving Tree Hill when they already have the nursery set up and almost everyone they love is there. I hope they have guest spots on next season's episodes.

what the hell was with mouth??? when he was spinning around talking to himself (in camera) ooooooh mann. he should not have so many parts, the only reason is that mark schwan is obsessed with him...

Voice over, good catch, Mumu.

What a rushed wedding. No parents? Oneminuteminister.com, are you kidding me? TG Brooke brought Lucas a tux, because I was thinking, "You better not being wearing that!" I like keeping Mouth to a minimum and this way he had a good line for Nathan, "If I were that good I'd play until they wouldn't let me." Liked the white rose petals. Laughed at Skills' code names for Jaime and himself. I like Skills and Miss Lauren together. I'm a Leyton, but Haley's speech about it always being Peyton probably hurt the Brucas fans. I would've liked a real minister, who cares about the ode to the memory box? But of course, you know I'll be watching next week!

I LOVED this episode

and... we had a voiceover!

hot Naley sex
Brulian triangle
Leyton - could have done with a bit more
maybe a flashback, and some speeches or heartbeats

but overall brilliant
all of it
:D
OMG 1 MORE EPISODE :O

such a good episode. the last few have been kind of blah but this was awesome. was literally counting down the seconds till peyton started bleeding... can't believe it's season finale next week!!
