Privileged: All About Betrayal

They fight, and fight, and fight and fight and fight...
Last night's episode of Privileged definitely felt like the beginning of the end for Megan and Will. We knew last week's tiff with Charlie spelled trouble for the relationship. What irks us most, however, is Megan's whole take on the situation.

A few weeks ago when Lily said Megan was too caught up in her world, she was dead on. We 100 percent agreed with Will when, during last night's episode, he said he shouldn't have to apologize for last week. Megan should have never let Will leave by himself and she absolutely could have talked to Charlie the next day or over the phone. When it comes down to it, she chose Charlie's friendship over her and Will's relationship. But what's sadder yet, is that she doesn't even realize it.

Just because we agree with Will on this issue however, does not mean we are on board with some of the other fights that happened last night. Yes, you heard right: fights -- as in many. The backdrop for all their arguments seem to hover around the new magazine Will's dad is going start, the one that Megan and Will inspired with the "ripple" effect. Surprisingly, both Megan and Will have to apply for a job and interview with the newly appointed editor in chief, played by Privileged newbie Robert Buckley. As turns out, Will’s dad practically forces Buckley’s character, David, into hiring his son.

This spells trouble for Megan, who David passes on after he sees her and Will fighting. Turns out he doesn’t think all the drama between the two will create a good work environment at the start-up. And, of course, Megan and Will fight about this too because Will suggests he will just ask his dad to politely ‘request’ Megan get the job to David. Megan turns down the offer saying she doesn’t want to get the job that way, not knowing that that is exactly how Will got the job.

Seems to us that Will feels a little guilty about getting his job that way, so he gets angry over her pride and integrity. Big surprise -- a fight ensues that ends with Will walking out on Megan while complain about how all this new-found fighting ‘sucks.’

And fighting seemed to be an ongoing theme last night when, Rose, of all people, was fighting with just about everyone on the show, except for Marco. Marco, by the way, gets back Keith by proposing and stealing him away from his new f-und want to sleep with is best girl friend so they can start a family (Will and Grace comparisons ensue). But Rose takes a hard hit when she finds out Miles is her real grandfather, and that he is in the hospital -- dying. She is furious at Laurel for keeping it a secret. Rose is so compelled by the situation that she jumps on the company jet to go see him.

This one event really seemed to change Rose’s perspective on life, too. She gets totally upset with Sage for lying to her about being at church until she forces Sage’s confession about her parents. So Sage finally tells someone that she feels it is her fault for her parents dying. Apparently Sage liked to throw temper-tantrums back in the day, and when finally she got so upset and was complaining to her mom so much, her parents missed the flight. The next one they got on was the one that killed them.

While Rose didn’t think it was Sage’s fault (no one in their right mind would), it did cause her to have an epiphany. Seems Lucy Kate Hale will no longer be playing the naïve teenager. Rose, sick of being shielded by everyone, moves out of their bedroom to seek some independence. She is obviously hurt by Laurel’s lie and Sage’s lack of trust, and is saddened over the fact she never got to be with Miles (he died before she could see him). We are totally unsure of what the future will hold. How will the move affect Rose? Can her relationship with Sage ever be the same? And what about the lawsuit? Miles' daughter is claiming Laurel literally broke his heart. Will this ruin the family for good?

I really do not like all the fighting between Megan and Will. Although it should indicate to them that they need to spend some quality time doing things and getting to know each other. I think that the show should have had a valentines based episode where the couple meshed and got time to express their love for each other. I hope this does not end up with bad news though, because I like this couple. I like that Rose is growing up and becoming her own person

I used to be pro will/megan
but will is REALLY pissing me off lately.
WTH charlie isnt any guy hes her best friend u gotta understand that shes not gonna leave him on his last day here jus cause u too got in a fight.
he cant expect her to pick between her best friend and her boyfriend psht
stuipid will she should leave him for david

I have been liking Megan less and less as the season has gone on. I was a fan of Charlie and sad to see him go. I neither like or dislike Will so whether he stays with Megan or not, I'll be content. It is nice to see more of Marco's storyline on the screen. Laurel need not be so absent on the show, she is very interesting. I always love Rose and Sage, they are always getting themselves into something, good or bad. I am glad Rose moved out of the room she shared with Sage. She will learn to become her own person. I do hope that this lawsuit drama is not the main story of the season finale. I want to see the stories that made me fall in love with the show in the first place, in he first half of the season.
