It's great now they are in season 8 of smallville and clark is finally heading towards superman, but please it's still called smallville. So don't start making it into another clark and lois show until you finally change the title. I've seen to many clark and lois shows and they all got cancelled...

*Sigh*
Took a couple of days to find this one huh? I swear I've read this exact same comment in so many places now with no new angles or arguments beyond ones that are just personal opinion. To which we're all entitled. But a great many fans are really looking forwards to a pro-active Clark and banter with Lois Lane at the DP. The former is WELCOMED WITH OPEN ARMS and the latter was realistically always gonna happen at some point in my opinion. But AGAIN I'm entitled to my opinion as are you.
I'm sorry you're not happy with the way you think the show is going. I love Chloe's character and I for one am excited to see what direction she takes. I don't think they will do away with her friendship with Clark but then like everyone else I have to wait and see...
I'm eager to hear what Alison herself has to say!
This negativity taken from interview to interview and blog to blog and board to board doesn't make me any less excited about the season ahead tho.
If you love the character so much why don't you wait and see what happens? Then if your list comes true you can shout it from the hills...

So, after 7 years of being a reporter, we have to accept Chloe being a meteor freak with multiple powers and a therapist. That isn't change, that is a retcon so they can have their boring Clois.
I do not see any enjoyment to the fact that Clark is now working for the villain. And I still can not accept the fact Lois Lane slept with her boss, and chose the relationship over her journalistic Integrity.
They basically told long term Smallville fans the big F-U and appeased to the Comic/Mythos fans.
I'm sorry but I rather see the story they've been telling for 7 years fullfilled, NOT them fulfilling what was shown in 1 AU episode.
Anonymous who agrees with Annie, again this isn't change, it is a retcon/lightdwitch.
Do these Showrunners even care what was shown BEFORE Season 8? How it was always Clark and Chloe working together? 7 years of it. Did they forget Chloe wasn't fired because of anything job related but was because of the villain?
If I wanted Lois and Clark, I'd watch that show and read the damn comics. But I don't. I watch smallville, and I DON'T want lightswitches and Clark working with a woman who makes women seem like the only way they can be successful is if they sleep with their boss.
Not to mention the fact, Lois isn't that good of a journalist, if she was, then we would have seen 1 article published.
I really hate how they are retconning the show.

I agree with Annie.. Looking around the forums, it seems like everyone is a lot more positive and excited about the upcoming season. Well, except for of course, the usual suspects aka theorists.. hey people, do you not like change or something? Get it through your skull, Chloe isn't the person she once was, and no matter how times you ask or how many people, it seems like the answer is still the same: Chloe isn't a journalist anymore.. if you really love the character, then enjoy her, no matter what she does or what job she has, and stop trying to push her into someone else's role.

These were great! I was at the panel but it's great to get some more behind the scenes stuff ;)
Really really excited about season eight! And to see Lois and Clark at the Daily Planet and both of them taking steps to where they belong. Everyone seemed really pumped for the new season there too. It feels like there's been some life breathed back into it!
Really looking forward to your interviews on the set!!!

Oh Man he didn't ask whose idea it was to make doomsday human.

Thanks, but oi does it feel like these guys don't get the show at all. Chloe's a journalist, not a therapist (seriously, it doesn't even make sense).
Clark flying this year could be cool, but I'll believe it when I see it.
Thanks for the low down though guys! We all appreciate it.

OMG! Jimmy finally getting closer to Clark and not just Lois, thanks! clois + Jimmy working together weeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!
Dual identity, clois's feelings, Clark being proactive and wondering if it's rigth to work in a newspaper while hiding a big secret as his... I'm so happy right now, it was a good day when Al and Miles left the show.

Thanks for the interview.
I'm happy they said that we'll see how Clark and Lois feel for each other, how Lois feels for Clark, and how Clark feels for Lois. I'd say it's gonna be mutual. And I can't wait.
Also, I'm looking forward to Clark working with Lois at the Daily Planet, and being more heroic and Superman-like this season.
Not to mention I'm excited at the hint that he might fly!

Thanks so much for the interviews. I'm really excited for this season in a way I haven't been excited for the show in a long time.. the Clois/DP aspect has me bouncing waiting for the season to start. It's time for the real deals to take front stage and the 'placeholders' to take a backseat.
