One Tree Hill: Moving On
In the days following Quentin's funeral, life (sort of) gets back to normal for the gang. Well, as normal as life can be in Tree Hill, where your parents might be sleeping with your friend (Deb), possibly attacking you (Victoria), or emerging from the woodwork (Mick).
The episode got off to a sad start with a montage of everyone remembering Q. It was nice to see the guy again, but seeing him also reminded us that he's gone for good. Tear! We miss him.
Here's what everyone was up to this week:
What's up with Lucas: We barely saw the guy at all last week, but Lucas returned last night in rare form -- inspiring his team to stay strong after Q's murder. He, along with Q's mom and brother, told the team that Q would have wanted them to play their best in spite of the tough circumstances. Quentin's jersey was retired, and the team gets his number on each of their jerseys: "Close to your heart," as Lucas says. That way, he'll be with them on the court. The players decide they want to only play with four players (leaving a spot open where Q would have been), so they end up losing to the Wildcats. But they still want to play with four for the rest of the season. Lucas and Skills think it's worth it, since the guys are learning about life in addition to basketball.
What's up with Nathan, Skills and Deb: After discovering that Skills and Deb are an item when they comforted each other at Q's funeral, Nathan's had enough. He's furious at both of them -- how could they keep this from him? And won't this affect Jamie? Nathan orders Deb to move out. Deb is heartbroken and breaks up with Skills because she needs to be near her family. Skills, also heartbroken, goes to Haley and asks her to talk to Nathan about it. Ultimately, Nathan comes around after a conversation with Jamie, who's not bothered in the least by Skills and Deb together. "I let you kiss my mom," Jamie reasons. "Eat your soup," says Nathan, flustered.
What's up with Haley: Haley has a lot going on this week. She takes Jamie to see Q's grave, and as they're leaving the cemetery, Jamie notices an enormous headstone for Dan. He's curious about it, and he wants to see Grandpa Dan. Haley doesn't love this idea, but she agrees to stop by Dan's house. Of course, there's no sign of Dan. His papers have been building up on the front stoop. Haley asks Nathan when he last saw Dan, and it was a few weeks ago. Nathan figures Dan will come around.
Meanwhile, Haley's trying to connect with bratty Sam, the new student in her class who we saw shoplift from Brooke earlier this season. Sam wants no part of this teacher/student bonding -- she lashes out at Haley at every opportunity and tells Haley she has no idea what's going on her life. Haley tells Sam that no matter what's happening, she's here and she'll listen.
What's up with Brooke: Brooke is seeing the therapist Nathan and Haley recommended. The therapist seems helpful -- Brooke opens up and talks about getting a gun. She says that while she wouldn't kill anyone ("I'm not crazy"), she also feels like she might actually be better off if her mother were dead. Brooke's rattled when she hears herself say these words.
Later, Brooke shows up in NYC at Victoria's place and throws a loaded gun down on the table, telling Victoria if she wants to kill her, here's her chance. Victoria claims that she had nothing to do with Brooke's attack, but she never exactly denies it outright. Finally, over a glass of wine, Victoria reveals that she never wanted Brooke. When Brooke was born, her dreams were shattered. Brooke tells Victoria she can have the entire company -- now she has a company and no daughter.
What's up with Peyton: Peyton encounters a musician playing guitar, and she's thrilled -- it's Mick Wolf! The two bond about music, their shared passion, but as the episode goes on, it seems that they're both wondering if they're related. Could Mick be Peyton's father? Could Peyton have another relative emerging from the woodwork like Ellie a few seasons ago? It seems possible.
What's up with Nanny Carrie: Apparently the Scott family doesn't have very secure locks. Carrie ends up snooping around their house -- threatening Jamie's bunny, Chester, stealing Jamie's clothes, and just being generally creepy. She also chats with Deb in the park about doing whatever it takes to be near family. We wish Deb knew who crazy Carrie was, but she doesn't even seem to get a bad vibe from her.
How does it all wrap up? Peyton tells Mick that she wondered if he might be her father, but he doesn't really answer her question. It's still ambiguous.
In the cab on the way to the airport, Brooke tells the driver she's going home to her family.
Nanny Carrie is back in the Scott house being creepy...
Once he realizes Skills and Deb are about more than just sex and the relationship doesn't bother his son, Nathan accepts it -- as long as he doesn't have to see it. Skills and Deb are delighted.
Haley gets a return call from the doctor. Dan's heart was never claimed.
Nathan hits the river court and Skills picks up where Q left off. Looks like Nathan and Skills are friends again -- and Q will live on in many ways.

BL are OVER! Since the end of season 3.
Lucas loves Peyton. That's clear.

Just because Mark originally wrote for LP doesn't mean he's not deceiving all of you for now. He could make Lucas pick Brooke and face his fears that she'll never want him anymore... you never know. If it's true that Mark wanted LP together from the start and ignored all the amazing BL relationship and everything that came with it, then I really don't know what to say to Mark. Things change. People change. And until Bryan Greenburg had to leave the show, it seemed like things would end on BL and JP. But I guess when Hilarie Burton's character is faced with being along, Mark can't live with that! Not HILARIE!

What's up with the lack of intimancy between Nathan and Haley?
Joy and james have so much chemistry, why don't use it on screen?

Fewer and fewer comments.... Should say something about the quality of your bashing!

and i forgot, like someone said in season 3 that brook and lucas were togethere, sophia and chad were separated, but it was brucas in the show.so if lucas and peyton are togethere now,it has nothing to do with sophia and chad,i already said, its something that mark wants.

oh,please,give me a break!im not a bl or lp fan,and i too feel sorry for bl fans,but
to whoevere that wrote last comment, the real reason that brucas isnt goning to happen is that mark doesnt want them to,and that he considered peyton and lucas for eachother since the pilot(his own words that he said recently, not mine).so its not for sophias and chads personal lives, though it maybe affected and guaranteed the decision that mark maid, but the main reason is that mark wants leyton to be end game,he always wanted,so long before chads and sophias divorce.

I've had to delete a few attacks on other commenters. Please, keep it friendly! Rant about the show all you want, but there's no need to attack each other in the comments.

I feel sorry for the BL fans. It had a really good buildup. Unfortunately, the actors can't see past their personal problems to realize that a lot of fans are heartbroken because of this. Sophia more so than Chad, although they're both to blame, because she rudely told a bunch of fans that BL wasn't ever happening again. That is why they tell you not to have on-set relationships but since Sophia is at it again, I don't think she learned.
I say keep hope BL fans and write to the show. Sophia and Chad are contractually obligated and their personal problems should stay at home. It's a professional working environment and it should be treated that way.

I loved all the separate scenes in this episode - each one had something funny, or sweet, or interesting, or just downright creepy *cough*psychoCarrie*cough* to contribute. Everything Jackson did in that hour was amazing in some way. I loved when Jamie reasoned to Nathan that he 'let's' him kiss Haley, and when he told Brooke, as if it were so obvious, that she did have a family. I almost fell out of my seat laughing when he tried to look up the mannequin's dress!
But, as a whole episode, it wasn't all that cohesive - really more like a string of scenes - which is probably why I didn't really get into it so much.
Oh, and I was glad Brooke finally talked about her attack, but I feel like so much more could have been done with that story, and it fell a bit flat for me in that sense. As if she's now magically okay all of a sudden, and it really doesn't work that way. I hope they continue to explore that issue; guess I'll wait and see.
Next week looks intense - can't wait to watch, and for this week's podcast.

You know what's sad Both Peyton and Brooke. Mothers never wanted them. That's sad!
Well Peyton Ellie when she said "She loved her drugs more than her, so she picked the drugs and not her", and Brooke with Vicki saying "she wasn't wanted at all because she didn't want kids, and only got pregnant because her husband wanted a Son".
That's some seriously heartbreaking things to find out.

Objective third party here (I want Lucas alone).
Sophia has never said in a single interview that she doesn't want BL to be together. Please show me one where she has.
And Mark has repeatedly said in interviews that he writes the story for the story, not the actors. Check the CW Source youtube channel from last season's series of interviews. He said that neither Chad nor Sophia ever said they wouldn't do Brucas.
I don't know if you noticed or not, but Brucas were together all of season 3, even after the Chophia split in the early part of the season. They kissed and had "love scenes," even recently in seasons 5 and 6 with the kisses. If they can do THAT, then your argument about them demanding to be apart isn't making any sense...
Don't feel bad for BL fans. They still have their faith.
And if you asked me in seasons 2 and 3, I would have told you "Lucas and Peyton have no chance! Look at the depth of Brooke and Lucas' feelings for each other." But things weren't that way in season 4. It's the same thing now. You may be saying "Brooke and Lucas have no chance together anymore," but it's a TV show, and anything can happen.
Here's to hoping Lucas ends up alone and bitter with his regrets about hurting all 3 girls in his life with his selfishness.

I'm glad the violence has stopped, but I'm seriously getting annoyed with the Crazy Carrie storyline. The build-up at first was good, but now I just feel like it's going off and becoming less exciting. I know this sounds bad, but if she's going to kidnap Jamie, it just needs to happen because there's not much left they can do to build suspense for that story.
I was glad that there weren't hardly any LP scenes, I've accpted that BL won't happen but I that doesn't mean that LP doesn't nauseate and repulse me. I've gotten used to it, but I still feel like Schwan has something up his sleeve, that storyline wouldn't end so peacefully unless more was to come.
Good episode, but there wasn't a whole lot of intensity, which is what I love about OTH. I hope that the next episode has lots of action!!

Soccer7SG, I hate to break it to you. But Brooke and Lucas are done. This will lead nowhere. Sophia hates BL, she has expressed it in interviews, she all but pushes either Peyton or Lindsey in Lucas's direction all while she explains just how big of a fan girl she is.
Sophia and her stupid person relationships. *roll eyes*
I feel bad for BL fans, they were build are a little too strong because the actors demanded it, and then they can't be professional.

BEST episode of the season (along with last week's). I loved every second of it, and still cried over Q because of how everyone was reacting! It was so touching.
I LOVED THE LACK OF Peyton and Lucas! I wasn't so nauseated this episode! I was a happy camper!
WHO is Mick Wolf? I feel left out because I have no idea who he is... Should a 22 year old know who he is?
Now here's my theory on Brooke & Lucas, quoted from other forums:
"In the premier, it seemed from Lucas' dream that he really loved Brooke, "I DO love you Brooke Davis," and it seemed like there was a hidden -but- in there - but he was scared of a life with her. In his dream, she was all about her business and didn't care for a family. "Do you ever miss Tree Hill? Jamie's probably getting big!" "Of course, but me with my company and you with your book tour. I think Jamie will understand." (I know that wasn't the exact dialogue, but oh well).
Now, in reality, Brooke's talk with her mom brought a lot of stuff back. Victoria wanted the company and no family. Brooke gave up the company and said "I'm going home to my family." Lucas' dream is now invalidated. What Lucas thought a life with Brooke would encompass isn't the reality of what Brooke really wants.
I hope this all leads somewhere, because if it does, it's brilliant!

Boring as hell Episode.
NH are seriously boring me. I can't even enjoy them anymore are they even married. Only thing great about Brooke's storyline is Vicki. Her sl is annoying now. Don't care for Lucas long as speech to the Raven. I'm tired of seeing Jamie for ever freaking scene enough of the kid already. Don't care for Peyton's is he or is he not Daddy. Dan/Carrie need to die. Are LP even engaged if Peyton didn't say "My Fience" are wouldn't have known.
Only thing that was great in this Episode was Q's family and Haley/Skills scene.
