Privileged: "All About Honesty"

We got a big taste of the bitterness between Lily and Megan when they hash it out -- for practically all of Palm Beach to see -- as the charity ball from last week winds down. But what bums us out even more than seeing these two sisters fighting is the utter letdown in Laurel’s face when she learns that Megan lied to her about knowing Lily.

We already know that Megan feels bad for the way she left Lily behind to go off to college, even though Lily did steal her boyfriend – something we’re not sure we could forgive. But how much more difficult can Lily make the situation? Bringing drugs to the party practically gives Megan a reason to doubt Lily has any good-hearted intentions.

Drama queen situation aside, the question really on our mind is exactly what Charlie has "done" for Lily. We think it must have been awfully good because before he asked, Lily was dead set on staying at that event – not leaving. Did they date, perhaps? Did he bail her out of some sort of trouble or take the blame for something she did?

And how does Will end up being the one to drive her home?

Doubling the drama in the sister saga, Sage devises a plan to help Rose get back with her ex, Max. Somehow pulling in Charlie, we give props to the plan for offering him a chance for some seemingly innocent questioning. Does Megan like Will? Seems like she’s not even sure, but we think Charlie still holds out hope for himself.

Anyway, who was Megan kidding with her “just go tell him idea?” Not only does Rose get her man back, we get to see Sage – dare we say – give Megan a lesson or two in sisterly love. In the end, even if it meant getting in a little unlawful trouble, we’re glad Rose went with Sage’s boyfriend advice. Plus, we agree with Sage that Megan may have brains, but men are not her forte.

And while we may hate the manipulative ways of Sage, we are fond of her pointing out Megan’s flaws, like her insistence on Rose truthfully confronting Max but lying about knowing Lily. Sage is starting to look a little less like Britney Spears and a little more like Kevin Federline everyday. After all, Megan is human, too, and we all know that no one is perfect!

It’s obvious at this point that, while Sage may come off as a cold-hearted witch, she will always put Rose first. This gives us hope that perhaps, seeing how much Rose wants to succeed in school, she’ll jump on the studying ban wagon. Sooner would be better than later though, because not only do we want these two siblings to do better for themselves, but more than that, we want Megan to succeed!

This time however, the total lack-of-studying blame cannot be put solely on the sisters. After all, Megan did take on extra responsibility by helping Laurel’s business associate’s daughter with her Yale entrance essay.

But, just as we think Megan’s on the right track -- calling to make up with her sister, winning Laurel’s trust back and even chit-chatting it up with Will -- Megan gets a shot of none other than Lily and Will, kissing of all things! Really? We just don’t see it. How could he even think of being with her after the drugs? Is it out of pity for the way Megan treats her? Or is there more to her than Megan leads us to believe?
