Supernatural Podcast: "Asylum"
Wow -- Sam is psychoanalyzed and subsequently traumatized! Meanwhile, Gavin's an idiot and we can't figure out why Cat puts up with him.
In our latest podcast, Sarah, Mia and I wonder if the hunter medical plan includes psychiatric benefits (probably not) and can't believe evil!Sam pulls the trigger multiple times on Dean. Oh, and we couldn't be happier that we have the whole season on DVD so we don't have to wait a whole month to see "Scarecrow" like everyone else did (this episode aired before the midseason break).

This is one of three episodes in the first season that gradually turned me from a casual viewer into a die-hard fan of this show. Skin and Faith were the other two. But I think Asylum was the episode that made me realize that this show could actually be elevated from guilty pleasure to a good show.

Love the podcast, loved the episode. I agree that Kat was one of the best guest characters. I don't think she reconciled with Gavin at the end. I seem to recall him trying to put his arm around her shoulders and her brushing him off. Of course, I can't confirm this since I've loaned out Season 1. Anyway! Keep up the excellent work, ladies. I've probably asked this before, but you ARE continuing on with Seasons 2 and 3, RIGHT?

But,first thing first,Sam is the hotter psychic!hands down!!
loved this ep coz it presented an interesting curve in there brotherly relationship.Good soldier vs Rebellion!!
I mean,even though Sam was posesssed,wen he tried to kill Dean,but things he said wernt completely untrue.They have dere disagreements and conflicts.Posessed sam was very convincing!
i also love this show for presenting the most realistic sibling relationshio on TV.its so relatable,even to me & i am from a different continent!!i mean,i too hate takin orders!..ahem!neways,movin on!!
Gotta say that Dean is the most understanding older brother!
cant wait for podcast of scarecrow!!

I LOVED this episode, still do, but I remember being kind of blown away by it when it first aired. Sam pulling that trigger 4 times on Dean and looking annoyed that it had no bullets. This whole run of episodes from Home up until around Faith, I knew I wasn't imagining how awesome this show was with those airing in a row(even if there was a month and a half break in between:)
