The fall TV season is starting early this year, so we won't have to wait quite as long for some of our favorite shows. One Tree Hill fans, we're totally thrilled that we don't have to wait until January like last season! This year, OTH is among the first to premiere.
The first week of September will pack a punch with the potent pair of Gossip Girl and OTH kicking things off, followed by the highly anticipated two-hour premieres of 90210 and America's Next Top Model. Privileged stands alone with a premiere the following week. Then Smallville and Supernatural return a few weeks later, and fans of the comedies will have to wait until early October. The last premiere is Stylista -- we're a bit surprised to see it premiering so late in the game.
Reaper fans, however, are still left hanging -- the network has yet to announce when the drama returns. Same thing with new drama 13 (the title has been updated to 13 -- Fear Is Real).
So what do you think of the new schedule? Which show are you most looking forward to? Which night have you completely blocked off for TV viewing? Tell us in the comments!

Why the heck is Everybody Hates Chris on Fridays now?!?!
Who the heck is home on a Friday night to watch a sitcom? Is this a lame excuse to take it off the air?
Also - where the heck is Reaper on Tuesday nights at 9pm? I tuned in on a Tuesday night and saw some stupid show call Priveleged - LAME FLUFF.

I am upset about the day that they move the Game to. CW Exec know that most people don't go home in watch T.V on a Friday. Is that they're way of eventually cancelling the show? I'm going to try my best to catch every episode. But I'm highly

I'm glad to see that the Game is coming back. However, I hope the network don't eventually pull the show. The Game is a good show, and I love that black actors and actresses have a show that the audience can relate to. KEEP the Game on the CW.

CW thinks they are slick in regards to putting "The Game" on Friday nights. Network executives know that people usually are not in the house on Friday nights and therefore ratings will go down. If ratings go down, then they will be able to justify eliminating the show. The Game is an excellent show and it deserves to be on a weekday or Sunday where it can get the proper ratings it deserves. Black people have made it, but still have a long way to go. This is a prime example of how White folks still control everything and practice subtle discrimination.

You guys are dirty for trying to get The Game off the air by putting it on Friday nights. Hopefully it can survive that and you guys put it back in its rightful place. There is already enough white shows on CW, and all you guys are doing is trying to make more room for white casted shows by eliminating the black ones.

Why the hell would u guys switch the game to friday nights...people do go out on friday nights...I'm a guy and yes I like watching the game. But CW is bogus for putting the show to friday nights!!!!!!

boo to you that the game isn't coming on sundays anymore fridays is so not going to work for anyone that i know especially me b/c i will be at work at the time that was a strategic mistake on your part maybe you should replace the show on primetime just as you get the poor ratings on one tree hill i fell off 2years ago whats up with dudes hair hate it
Posted by: dee-dee 83 | September 1, 2008 7:28 PM
Why did the game move to friday? Thats the only reason I watch CW is to watch the game and girlfriends ( but I see their no more). BUMMER! Now I have to DVR it.

THE GAME is the only hot show CW really have it is a shame that you all are trying to wash it out by putting it on Friday nights. But I'm hoping it will survive because it is a good show and the writers are awesome. My girls and I will still be keeping up with it and will be watching it before we head out to the club that night.

I love SMALLVILLE, THE GAME, OTH AND GOSSIP GIRL! so I am super stocked about all sept and oct premiers. i just hate that prison break comes on fox sept 1 same day and time as GG... thank heavens for a DVR!!! lol

Are you guys trying to cancel The Game??? Why on earth is it not premiering until October? Friday nights? Everyone knows that Friday nights is the kiss of death for shows....What a shame. It is really a good show. I truly hope they survive. Shame on you CW.

I can not believe this station move the game to friday nights. It seem odd that the black sitcoms magically moved to fridays night and coming back in october. This station is very racial and someone need to investigate this.

WHY do we have to wait until the 18th for supernatural when all these other lame ass shows get earlier premieres????
I WANT MY SUPERNATURAL!!!

:)

Thursday and Friday are my favorite nights for TV, so I am glad the game is moving to Friday... Sunday was always family night... Of course, Friday night is date night for the younger crowd... I hope the ratings don't drop.

Yay for One Tree Hill and Gossip Girl only being a few weeks away! I cannot wait for One Tree Hill, I want to know who Lucas called so badly. I wasn't a huge fan of last season though, adding Lindsey wasn't so grand, it kinda made me feel like girls just flock around Lucas, which is a little unrealistic. I definitely hope he called Brooke. It's the least predictable choice, and Mark Schwan is anything but predictable...

I want Girlfriends back! I'm protesting I will not watch any of these stupid shows. I will only support my African American shows
Posted by: Kennedy | August 15, 2008 7:34 PM
I definitely can't wait til Supernatural is back for season four!!! Yay! I will be watching, probably on the edge of my seat, on September 18!!
Posted by: Cara | August 15, 2008 3:50 PM
Who watches TV on a friday night!!!! Why switch the Game to a Friday night instead of leaving it on Sunday or another week day. Dont african american shows deserve primetime night slots also.
Posted by: lashawnna | August 12, 2008 12:31 PM
The Game:
That seems like the CW's intent, to set the show up for failure, by switching night, it went from Monday to Sunday, now to Fridays????? To me it seems like they are making sure we can't keep up, thus lowering ratings, because we don't know what day to watch. I am still highly upset about how they abruptly ended girlfriends, without so much as a final episode, I guess it was too positive of a black show, aside from Floavor Flav and other demeaning reality show TV, there just are not enough good black sitcoms, or sitcoms in general these days, and Girlfriends and The Game are my absolute favorite. However, we should stay positive in this situation, don't speak of failure, but always speak of success, don't stop tuning in and write in!

What is up with Game coming back in October and on Fridays at that. there aren't enough african american shows on tv already, i feel it's being set up for failer also, but until than i will continue to support it. I hope it stays around for a long time...i love it.

Man I can't wait for 'The Game'..daaaaaaaymnnn will Derwin have a baby mama or will he go back 2 his main love? Man I can't even guess on what he'll do..I'm not a big fan of too much drama but this is the shyyyyt..lol I can't wait for this!...

The CW is driving me crazy!!!!!! Y is it that all of the teen dramas are getting all the publicity and premiered early in the season? Fans of "The Game" don't want to wait until October and definitely don't want to wait until Friday nights!! Is it me or is the network setting the show up for failure - just like Girlfriends...
Posted by: Christina | July 27, 2008 9:25 PM
Totally psyched for SPN -- and it's premiering on my 25th b-day!!! Gotta be a sign that Season 4 will be the best ever!

I am definitely looking forward to the return of Supernatural! I'm also thrilled that Gossip Girl is returning so early- now if we could only get the CW to do the same with SPN! I guess I should just be thankful it's coming back at all;) Can't wait to see my shows in a couple months!=D

Supernatural!!!!! Thursday night is my only must-see tv.
Posted by: Megz | July 22, 2008 1:02 AM
Girlfriends isn't coming back? I'm not happy about that. But such is life. I'm most excited about Monday night shows. I'm dying to see who Lucas called. Wednesday is going to be great with Top Model. I'm going to give 90210 a chance even though I doubt it'll be better than the original series.
Posted by: Gina | July 21, 2008 8:47 PM
Can't wait for SN! Thursday is my only must see date with The CW. I will check out 90210 as I was a fan of the early years.

It's a shame that this network seems content selling sex, drugs, and eating disorders. Two shows about fashion, three shows about being rich, drinking underage and having sex. Maybe people would take them [the CW] seriously if they weren't so happy with crud on most of the week. Guess I'll be watching them starting on the 18th only.
When is someone at the CW gonna realize that not all 18 year old females want shows about 20 year old actors playing spoiled rotten, drinking, bedhopping 15 year olds?
Posted by: RebeccaMatthews | July 21, 2008 6:27 PM
Well, looks like the only night I'll have CW on is Thursdays.
I really wish the CW would step out of the box, just a little instead of cloning the same show over the week. Saturating the network with rich brats bed-hopping will only lead to lower ratings.
My guess is 90210 will get a big premiere numbers, but like Gossip Girl before it, will fizzle over the year.
I'm not asking for more sci-fi genre, but something different from "OMG" TV.

Can't wait for Thursday night duos. Love Smallville and Supernatural
Posted by: iceprincezz | July 21, 2008 11:20 AM
Sept. 18th seems so far away :( !!! But I guess with the release of the third Supernatural tv Tie-In book "Bone key" and the season 3 DVD release on Sept. 2nd I'll be able to manage *takes a deep breath* :)
Though I wasn't much of a fan of OTH's last season, I cannot wait to see who Lucas was talking to on the phone! And it is awesome that we won't have to wait until January like last year!
I have a feeling that the month of September will be one unforgettable month for all of us fans!!! :D
Posted by: Julie | July 21, 2008 10:58 AM
Yay for the return of One Tree Hill!! Can't wait :) I never was a big fan of 90210 when I was young but I'll give the premier a shot and see if I like it.
Thanx for posting this in advance! :)

Elizabeth, the premiere info for The Game is in the post above: October 3. Girlfriends is not returning next season.
Kim, Privileged will just have a one-hour premiere, not two, after 90210, so I think the network is hoping to capitalize on good 90210 ratings as a lead-in.
Keep the comments coming!

I'm glad to see Supernatural having its season premiere before CSI'sand Grey's Anatomy's season premieres, especially with such a pivitol episode as this one is for Supernatural. I can't wait to see what happens with Dean!

So very excited about SUPERNATURAL's Sept.18th
Season Premiere. I'm very much looking forward to the show's 4th season!!!!

When will "The Game" premiere? And, will "Girlfriends" be coming back?
Posted by: elizabeth | July 20, 2008 11:29 PM
Waiting for the first cycle of Top Model to end to premier Stylista? Bad move. And does really need to see a 2-hour premiere of Top Model? Ditto 90210 and Priveleged. Wouldn't networks want to tap into the ratings from their lead in shows?
