Happy Birthday, Allison Mack!
Happy 26th birthday to Allison Mack, the woman who brings us the incomparable Chloe Sullivan. Chloe is sweet, smart, sexy and the best sidekick a budding superhero could ever wish for. She’s one of our favorite characters on The CW!
Chloe has grown a lot in the seven seasons Smallville has been on the air. She started off as a curious reporter with a Wall of Weird that kept tabs on all the strange stuff that went on in Smallville. She was driven to figure out just what was going on in town, even though that sometimes pissed off her friend (and unrequited crush) Clark Kent. Now, she knows Clark’s secret – and help keep it safe. She’s also willing to go up against supervillains, the Luthors, meteor freaks, the government… anyone who gets in the way of the truth or threatens her friends.
We’ve loved watching Chloe blossom as she fell in love with Jimmy, landed her first job at the Daily Planet, and discovered her own meteor powers. It’s a tribute to Allison’s skill that no matter what happens to Chloe, we still want to see more.
Allison herself is one heck of a woman – she’s great with fans, always gracious and giving of her time. She also supports charities like the Make a Wish Foundation and Save the Children, urging fans to help out where they can. Plus, Allison and co-star Kristin Kreuk are working on founding an arts grant from a site called Juicy Peach. That’s pretty super right there!
It’s almost hard to believe that Allison is so young – after all, she’s been acting since she was four! Those first roles were pretty small – an ad for German chocolate, for example – but she hit it big in 1998 with a guest spot on Seventh Heaven. A few years later, she landed the role of Chloe on Smallville, and the rest is history.
We hope Allison has a great birthday, and that she’s sufficiently recovered from Comic-Con. We can’t wait to see what happens with Chloe next season on Smallville.

My Daughter and I watch smallville. And during the opening she once said, "I love Chloe." So now every time we watch the show we wait for Allison to do her head spin in the opening credits, and we both say together "We Love Chloe!". It's our fun and lame little inside joke. But we do really love Chloe on the show, and Allison does such a great job. We hope you have a great Birthday, and thanks for doing such a great job.

Happy Birthday Alison! I have been a Superman fan (and superhero fan in general) since I was a kid in the early 70s. I watched Batman with Adam West in the afternoons and superhero cartoons in the morning. Later, when I started to read, I read all the DC Comics with Superman and Batman in them, getting introduced to other heroes like the Flash, Green Arrow, Green Lantern, Martian Manhunter, and sidekicks like Supergirl (I also read the comic adventures of Batgirl, but she was in the Adam West TV show). In the late 70s I got introduced to The Adventures of Superman when Channel 13 in L.A. started reruning the show. And then, of course, Superman exploded onto the big screen with Christopher Reeve (the best Superman ever- no offense to the other guys, including Tom Welling). Along the way, I watched the Incredible Hulk and Wonder Woman TV shows (and enjoyed both). After the Superman series of films it was time to answer the Bat-Signal at the cinema. I enjoyed all the Bat films, although the fourth was not the best. I also watched the Lois and Clark TV show. It was o.k., but the next Superman show would be way better. That show was Smallville. Great special effects. Great casting of regulars and guest stars (I like how many actors from the Superman films appeared on Smallville, including the late great Christopher Reeve). I also like how the Justice League is being introduced in the show. Justin Hartley is a great Green Arrow. Next to Batman (who is tied up in the new movie franchise which I and a few thousand other fans think ROCKS), Green Arrow is a great conterpoint to Clark Kent / Superman. And you are a great part of the show. You are a great asset to the Clark Kent charcter. Now that my stroll down memory lane is done I want to say thank you for a job well done and may you continue on Smallville for quite a long time more.

I have never experienced an actress who is so interested and in touch with her fans like she is, I love reading her blog everyday and recommend everyone to do the same!
